Virtual tours of seven properties from different time periods, comprising colonial times until the last century. Historical manors owned by notable citizens of the Colonial City, ranging from famed artists to presidents as well as national heroes.
The first tour is of Casa Vicini, an elegant XVII Colonial residence, which serves since its development as offices to several of the Vicini group businesses.
The second, Arbor Manor, a XVI century residence, which is currently part of the Casas del XVI hotel project (http://casasdelxvi.com), a world-class accommodation as well as the House of Maps, which is featured in the fourth virtual tour.
The third tour, the Vicini Residence, from the early nineteenth century, was owned by Juan Bautista Vicini Perdomo, and designed by the renowned Czech architect, Antonín Nechodoma.
The fifth tour features the recently refurbished Manor of the Poetess, where the distinguished Salomé Ureña and her son, Pedro Henríquez Ureña lived, also during the XVI century. Following is the tour of the Painter’s Manor, where the renowned painter Alejandro Bonilla resided. These two residences have been joined amid the restoration process to a third property, the House of Jacinto De la Concha, a patriot hero whom fought for the National Independence. The property is also from the XVI century and was entirely modified during the early nineteenth century.
